The Life of a Knitting Knerd

Success! At least, I think so. I found some size 1 circular knitting needles at Joann.com and they were on sale. I knew this site had a code for free shipping and was hoping it would work. It did. The needles, they are ordered and on their way into my grubby little hands. Joann also had the other size circular knitting needles I need as well, but, I have a coupon for 50% off and I plan on using that this weekend at Michael's (they accept competitor's coupons). If it turns out I get better deal online, I can still do I what I just did and use the coupon for something else.

So, at long last, I may be able to start knitting socks for real and not cause bodily damage. This is a very good thing.

I think this blog will be good for my craft things.

I'm attempting to start several new knitting projects. Key word there is attempt. I want to learn to knit socks, but, am having a hard time with 4 needles. Two needles and I'm fine. Add 2 more and I'm not so fine. I need to find size 2 circular needles (Michael's doesn't carry them) online. I'm going to check Joann.com when I get paid. I also need to find another pair in a different size for another project, this time involving lace knitting.

Another thing I want to try is illusion knitting. It looks fairly easy and changing colors doesn't look too difficult. I may attempt the card trick scarf. If anything, it would be a unique scarf to add to my collection.
